How to access (play, delete, download) video recordings via the BlackVue App?

    Cloud Mode

    Take into consideration the following conditions before proceeding.

    • You have a BlackVue account and you are logged in.
    • Your camera is Cloud-compatible (DR650GW, DR650S, DR750S, DR900S, X Models,  X Plus models, DR770X Series, DR970X Series).
    • Your camera is registered to the Cloud (added to the camera list).
    • Your camera can be either Cloud-connected or offline (Wi-Fi / local connection).
    • Your camera must be powered on.

     

    Cloud Mode: Cloud Mode View

    For X and earlier models

    1. After logging in, select the camera from the list.
      • Take note that the camera should be Cloud-connected to play videos saved in the Camera folder (SD card). If it is disconnected, Playback is only possible for videos saved in the Cloud or Live Event Upload folders.
    2. Press any video in the list to play.

    3. Aside from Playback, there other options on what to do with the video recordings, which differ for each folder. Press the three dots in vertical position located on the right side of a recording file to reveal more options.

    a) Live Event Upload folder

        • Download - saving a copy to phone's memory
        • Move to Cloud - transferring a file to the Cloud folder (no expiration)
        • Share to Event Map
        • Delete

    b) Cloud folder

        • Download - saving a copy to phone's memory
        • Share to Event Map
        • Delete

    c) Camera folder

        • Download - saving a copy to phone's memory
        • Upload - saving a copy to the Cloud folder
        • Share to Event Map
          • Note: Delete is not an option for files recorded in the Camera folder

     

    4. If your camera is not connected to the Cloud (offline) but still powered on, you can still download the recording files saved in the Camera folder by following these steps. However, you need to be in close proximity with the camera.

    Three dots in vertical position > Connect to camera Wi-Fi > Join

    Single download (Three dots in vertical position > Download)

    Multiple Download (Check icon > Select the files to download > Download)

    Download All (Check icon > Click double-check icon to select all files > Download)

     

     

    For X Plus and later models

    1. After logging in, select the camera from the list.
      • Take note that the camera should be Cloud-connected to play videos saved in the Camera folder (SD card). If it is disconnected, Playback is only possible for videos saved in the Cloud or Live Event Upload folders.
    2. Press the Playback button.

    3. Press any video in the list to play.

    Cloud Mode: Wi-Fi Mode View

    • This option is applicable to X Plus and later models only
    • Refer to the Wi-Fi Mode option at the last section if your camera is X or earlier model.
    1. From the Cloud View, click the WiFi button on the upper mid-section of the page.
      • The camera can be accessed even if it is not Cloud-connected.
    2. Click Join to connect the camera to the app.
      • You will notice that the view will change to WiFi View (upper mid-section of the page).
    3. Press the Playback button.

     

    4. Press any video in the list to play. Aside from Playback, you can also Download recording files to your phone's memory. You can press the three dots in vertical position located on the right side of a recording file to reveal the Download option.

     

    For Multiple Files Selection

    Multiple Files Selection (Cloud Mode View)

    • The procedures below are applicable across all Cloud-compatible dashcams.

    For multiple recording file selection, click the (check) icon and it will change into a double-check icon.

    • Live Event Upload Folder - You can DeleteMove to Cloud, or Download multiple recordings at once by selecting multiple individual files or clicking the (double-check) icon again to select all recordings.

    • Cloud Folder - You can either Delete or Download multiple recordings at once by selecting multiple individual files or clicking the (double-check) icon again to select all recordings.

    • Camera Folder - You can only Download multiple recordings at once in the Camera Folder by selecting multiple individual files or clicking the (double-check) icon again to select all recordings. Upload option is only available for one file at a time.

     

    Multiple Files Selection (Wi-Fi Mode View)

    • The procedures below are applicable only to X Plus and later Cloud-compatible dashcams. (Camera > WiFi Mode View > Playback)
    • You can only Download multiple recordings at once in the Wi-Fi Mode View by selecting multiple individual files or clicking the (double-check) icon again to select all recordings. 

     

     

    Wi-Fi Mode

    Take into consideration the following conditions before proceeding.

    • No required account nor log in.
    • Your camera is either Wi-Fi camera or Cloud-compatible model.
    • Your camera is added to the camera list (in Wi-Fi mode) but does not need to be registered to Cloud.
    • Your camera must be powered on.

    Follow the steps below.

    1. Select Wi-Fi Mode.
    2. Choose which camera you would like to connect to.
    3. Press Join when a prompt appears.

     

    4. Press any video in the list to play.

    5. Aside from Playback, you can also Download recording files to your phone's memory. You can press the three dots in vertical position located on the right side of a recording file to reveal the Download option.

     

    For Multiple Files Selection (Wi-Fi Mode)

    • The procedures below are applicable across all Cloud-compatible dashcams.
    • You can only Download multiple recordings at once in the Wi-Fi Mode by selecting multiple individual files or clicking the (double-check) icon again to select all recordings.
