There are a few conditions which you need to take care of before connecting the dashcam to any Wi-fi Hotspot router.

1. If you are using any dashcam other than DR900S or DR900X Series, please make sure that the Wifi router is set on 2.4GHz bandwidth. DR750 and DR650 series will not connect to any router with the bandwidth set to 5GHz.             
2. A dashcam will not connect to any router which requires login (username) and password, most open networks have this criteria. If you want to connect to an open network, you need to contact the network admin and request them to register dashcams MAC address in their system for it to automatically connect to open Wi-fi routers.                                                                           
3. In order for a dashcam to connect to a router, the router should have an SSID (network name) and password. The dashcam will not connect to any router which has no SSID or password.
