The BlackVue DR770X Box Pro is now available in the BlackVue Online Store and should be available soon from your local distributor. It replaces the DR770X Box as your triple-camera dash cam option in the BlackVue lineup.
A Modular Dash Cam
First of all, the DR770X is a Cloud-compatible dash cam that includes the main box unit and the front-facing Full HD 60FPS camera. The GNSS (GPS + GLONASS) Receiver and wireless button to trigger Events manually–and also used to pair the dash cam with your phone–are also included by default. Then, you can pick up to two additional Full HD (30FPS) cameras to cover the angles that you need.

The DR770X Box Pro includes the front camera and lets you pick any two extra cameras as pictured above.
For example, if you need to record the interior of your vehicle as well as the rear, you can add the Ultrawide Infrared Interior camera (RC1-IR) and the Standard Rear Camera (RC1).

You could also swap the Standard Rear Camera for the External Rear Camera (ERC1), which is IP69K certified, meaning it can withstand powerwashing. It is also equipped with infrared LEDs so you can rest assured it will capture any action clearly day or night.
Of course, there are other possible combinations, such as using two External Rear cameras to monitor the sides of a large truck. However, those three setups will be the most common.
Increased Event buffer
The DR770X Box Pro gets its Event buffer extended to 10 seconds, up from 6 seconds, in line with the DR970X Plus models. This means if your dash cam records any kind of Event video, such as an impact-triggered Event or motion detection Event (in Motion Detection Parking Mode), the Event video with start 10 seconds before the triggering “event”. This should help to give more context as to what happened in case of a hit-and-run or any such incident.
A new AI-Powered Driver Monitoring System (DMS) camera (coming soon)
On top of the Standard Rear, Ultrawide Interior Infrared, and External Rear Cams, the DR770X Box Pro supports the latest evolution of the DMS Camera, the RC1-DMS. The DMS Camera is a driver-facing camera designed to monitor the driver and the interior of the vehicle. Unlike its predecessor the DMC-200, which was rather bulky and required separate power, the new DMS Camera is tiny and powered by a coaxial video cable.
The new DMS camera employs AI to detect when you are tired or distracted at the wheel. It also detects when the driver is not wearing a seatbelt. For any risky behavior detected, the front camera’s speaker emits a beep as well as a voice alert (“Distracted”, “Drowsy”, etc.). For anyone who spends a lot of time at the wheel or dreads long commutes, this could be a literal lifesaver. And if you are worried that the alerts could get annoying, it is also smart enough not to nag you when you are driving at low speed. The DMS Camera should be available in September but you can learn more about it right now on the product information page.
