What is Voice Call?

Voice Call is a new function that replaces the Two-Way Voice Communication for the X Plus series and later models). With Voice Call, you can start a conversation from your BlackVue App or Viewer with the driver via the BlackVue dash cam installed in the vehicle. 

On the other hand, Two-way Voice Communication functions as a walkie-talkie feature that lets you send short voice messages a few seconds at a time. Voice Call, on the other hand, lets you converse without a limit of time, as in an actual phone conversation. It is a feature of X Series and earlier camera models.

How to Use Voice Call

NOTE: This feature is only available for Cloud-compatible cameras. The user should be logged in to the BlackVue account to access the Voice Call function remotely.

Via the BlackVue App

1. Log in to the BlackVue App using your account.

2. Click the camera from the camera list.

3. Click the Live View option in the Cloud Mode View (the page that appears).

4. Tap at the top right to use Voice call. You can start the conversation when the icon turns blue. Tap again the icon or exit the screen to end the voice call.

Via the BlackVue Web Viewer

1. Log in to www.blackvuecloud.com (BlackVue Web Viewer).

2. Click the camera from the camera list.

3. Click the Live View option.

4. Tap at the top right to use Voice call. You can start the conversation when the icon turns blue. Tap again the icon or exit the screen to end the voice call.

How to Use the Two-way Voice Communication

For models before the X Plus series (e.g. X Series, S Series, etc.), the Two-way Communication is the equivalent function.

Via the BlackVue App

1. Click the camera from the camera list.

2. Click the Live View option at the lower portion of the page that appears.

3. Tap the icon at the top right corner to use Two-way voice communication.

4. Tap the Tap to talk button and you will be given 30 seconds to talk.

5. If you would like to listen before the 30-second session ends, tap the Tap again to listen button. Once the 30-second session ends, you will listen to the driver again.

*BlackVue Cloud Viewer does not support two-way voice communication for X and older models.
