Installed new firmware. Restarted. Now it loops between restarting every couple minutes and "check SD card"
Tried formatting SD card to reinstall FW. Now my OEM Blackvue SD card is Write protected with no way to format.
Tried getting a new SD card. (Lexar up to standards etc even though I know they say use only Blackvue) but I still get loops and check SD card.
Next step is to try a new OEM blackvue SD card. But I'm getting entirely frustrated and fed up.
It's under a year old. I can't seem to get a hold of anyone for warranty options. FF I'm here on the forums.

David Bower Reformatting the card fixed this for me. Why can't you format it? There should be a little slider switch on the card that allows it to be formatted.

Jahmal Brown MicroSD Cards don't have that slider.

Jahmal Brown I have the red and black USB adapter that came with the dashcam. No switch on it? Did I get a faulty one?

Jahmal Brown Matt. You're in a good spot where both your camera and SD card are still under warranty. I would file an RMA to get them both repaired.
If not, try a new blackvue approved card.
With my issue I was two weeks left under warranty with only the camera. I was able to sent it in, and it's being shipped back repaired. Ill need to test it once I have it. -
David Bower The adaptor does though

Matt Tschanz I have the same problem here. Brand new BlackVue Dashcam (DR650S-2CH), in use since june 2017 and since end of August 17 Dashcam continously repeats "Check SD-Card". I then checked it, I can look at the videos but I cannot delete or format the card because the card is write protected. How do I change that?
Edit: And no, there isn't any slider on the Micro-SD Card nor on the adapter. I have to say that I am disappointed: this brandnew Dashcam was only in use for 2 months and a half and due to this sd-card problem it's already out of duty. Any help is appreciated. -
Matt Tschanz Thx for the fast reply Jahmal. I was hoping for a fast solution how to reenable the SD card but I suppose that this is not possible? If the only way to resolve the problem is getting the camera replaced then it sucks. Specially when not under warranty.

Jahmal Brown You can try placing the micro SD card into a SD card adapter and seeing if you can format it via a laptop etc. You have 6 months warranty from the time of purchase for the microsd card to be covered and up to one year for the camera itself.
I actually got mine back today. So far so good.
