Messages about resetting time and restarting

Every time I start my car, I get a audible message about 'setting the camera time' and 'restarting' about 1 to 2 minutes after starting the car.  Any others having this behavior?

    Dear Mario Gongora ,

    Thank you for choosing BlackVue.

Please do the following steps to upgrade the firmware (factory reset/troubleshooting)

    1. Turn off the dashcam and take out the SD card. Connect it with the computer by using the micro SD card reader.

    2. After getting the backup your necessary recordings saved on the SD card, format it as FAT32[windows] / MS-DOS(FAT) [MAC] using the format tool in BlackVue PC Viewer program

    3. Download the latest firmware for your dashcam model from our website : https://www.blackvue.com/downloads/#1460710341510-e242903f-5343

    4. Unzip the downloaded firmware and copy the "BlackVue" folder into the SD card.

    5. Insert the SD card in the dashcam and power it up.

If the issue recurs, please send us the "Config" and "System" folders from the BlackVue folder inside the SD card.

    Thank you

I am having a similar problem where the dashcam will announce “shutting down” just after unlocking my vehicle and then restarts once I have started the engine. It is a DR650 2CH connected using a power magic pro and the battery voltage is good. I have just had the battery replaced following a fault with the vehicle start stop system and it has been confirmed a good by the dealership. Should I follow the above procedure or should I do something different. All software and firmware is up to date.

    Thanks

    Hello Stephen

This seems to be an issue with either the connections to the fuse box of your car or the power magic pro. Please check by an electronic tester if the yellow wire is properly connected to a constant fuse and is providing current when the engine is off. If there is no current on the fuse box's  end then there must be an issue with the connection , if there is power coming through the fuse but PMP is not forwarding it, then there must be an issue with the PMP.

Also make sure that the button on PMP is turned on.

Let us know if the problem still persists.

    Thank you
