set up cloud

ok so maybe an old chestnut but I will ask anyway .

In order to set up cloud and a mobile wifi modem my phone has to be wifi connected to the Blackvue camera to see the app and settings the problem is that when I try to set up the cloud or modem it tells me that I have no internet connection because the wifi is in use or being hijacked by the camera ? but if I turn wifi off I cannot access the camera and settings . am I having a senior moment here I am pulling what little hair out I have left

  Hello Jon

    In order to get your camera connected to mobile hotspot of your phone please do the following steps.

  1. Note down the SSID and password of your phone's portable hotspot somewhere.

  2. Connect your phone to the camera using direct wifi 

  3. Insert and save the noted SSID and password in the hotspot settings.

  4. Save and close,

  mmm no

  I want to connect the camera to my Huawei dongle not my phone probably best if you can give me a run down on doing this rather than me confusing matters . Camara to mobile wifi internet dongle using iPhone 6 with the Blackvue app installed

  Hello Jonathan 

    In order to get your camera connected to Huawei dongle please do the following steps.

  1. Turn on your Huwaei Dongle and your camera,

  2. Connect your phone to the camera using direct wifi. (https://helpcenter.blackvue.com/hc/en-us/articles/226061487-BlackVue-App-Connecting-the-Smartphone-to-the-dashcam-via-Wi-Fi)

  3. Go to dashcam settings > Cloud settings > Hotspot settings (https://helpcenter.blackvue.com/hc/en-us/articles/225076268-How-to-configure-Cloud-service-Hotspot-settings-

  4. Click on your Huawei Dongle SSID and insert password

  4. Save and close,
