Dear Customer
Most probably the firmware is not installed properly.
Please install the firmware using the protocol mentioned in the link below and see if it fixes the issue.
If the issue persists, please send us the config folder inside the SD card at cs@pittasoft.com for further troubleshooting.
Thank you
I have the same issue. I've start firmware upgrade. White + REC + GPS indicators are blinking for 2 hours and after that, I've given up. I turned off the camera.
"The protocol mentioned in the link below" not fixes the issue.
Please help, maybe you have some another feature?
Hello Nazar

Hi Blackvue,
I have the same issue. I did an update via FOTA, file was uploaded, then blackvue restart, no voice guidance that firmware was being installed.
Now GPS and REC LED blinking.
Did reformat SD card, put FW 1.001 back on card, same problem.
Did it again with FW 1.002, same problem.
I will send the content of my SD card to CS@pittasoft.com
Thx
Kevin

I am a new customer and had the same problem with DR750S-2CH. It was installed by a professional shop. I tried to update firmware via FOTA and after the dashcam restarted both GPS and Record lights were blinking. The dashcam did not operate at all. I returned to the shop and they determined that the dashcam was inoperable (basically "bricked"). They gave me a new unit and requested to update firmware only using the computer.
I sense this is a problem which needs to be addressed.
Hi Leon,
I received a new 750S and still am on original firmware.
Did you do the FOTA to firmware 1.003 or 1.002?
I was planning on doing a firmware upgrade with SDcard and PC.
Dear Customers
Thank you for sharing your concerns and issues and our apologies for the inconvenience.
During the firmware up gradation, if the power gets unplugged from the dashcam due to some reason, the NAND memory gets broken and the dashcam won't perform it's function. This is irrespective of the up-gradation through FOTA or PC viewer.
Therefore, please make sure to not turn off the power when firmware up-gradation is in progress to avoid this error in the future.
If your dashcam is not responding after the firmware upgrade, please format the card using blackvue PC viewer and enter a formatted empty SD card in the camera to check if it fixes the issue. If the problem persists, please contact the seller to get the dashcam repaired under warranty.
Regards
Blackvue Support team
Hi Kevin,
I was performing FOTA upgrade from 1.001 to 1.003 while the car was running. The power was on. FOTA upgrade did not compete and rendered the dash cam inoperable. When I received the new dash cam from my installer and performed firmware upgrade using computer method to 1.004, everything was fine. It's simply not clear why FOTA upgrade would fail and render the dash cam _completely_ inoperable, despite the power being continuously delivered to the dash cam.
There just has to be a better way to manage error recovery in these situations.
Ok, I’m convinced this is an issue with your firmware update via FOTA. I have power magic pro installed and tried doing update, as soon as the system reboots it will not power back up. I’ve now lost all power to the unit, other than the light under the lense. Cam will no longer work/power on!? I’ve tried copying firmware to SD card via PC and still no workie! It seems this update has killed my cam. NOT HAPPY!
I too had a problem with my 1 year old Blackview dash camera after i installed the new FOTA, but i managed to restore the software and now it just works fine.
I have just had this same problem after recently doing the advised Firmware upgrade Via FOTA , as per website advise I Formatted the SD Card and copied the folders required and place the SD Card back into my Device but nothing except the white light under the lens which is solid white and a solid blue light above the GPS . is it possible to re load the old firmware onto it to fix it and if so where can I source an older version ? had my cam a few years so no option of replacement under warranty I would imagine
