DR650S 2CH not connecting to home hotspot
I have 2 sets of DR650S 2CH for 2 cars - both having the same issue.
Problem is connecting to my home wifi through the cloud.
I have firmware v1.007 and App v2.61 on Android.
I can view live feed through the blackvue wifi, but when trying to connect the cameras to the home hotspot to view via the cloud, the camera icon is black and not blue when looking at the Camera list screen.
I have tested this with a mobile phone hotspot and it is working fine.
My internet router at home is a Netgear R7000 and has both 2.4ghz and 5ghz channels, and I have been trying to connect them to the 2.4ghz. For testing purposes, I have also tried the 5ghz channel but that does not work either.

Hello Eddie
AS i understood, your dashcam can connect to cloud well ( the icon is blue) when you connect it to your mobile hotspot but it doesn't connect to your home wifi router.
Can you please check the security settings of your hotspot router? Make sure it's WPA2-PSK. If the settings are correct please send us the system and config folders from the blackvue folder inside the SD card to cs@pittasoft.com and we will investigate into the issue.
Thank you

Did you manage to solve this issue? I'm having the exact same problem.

I tried to increase the signal strength of the wifi using a range extender (Netgear WN3000RP), but the result was exactly as before: the camera connects to the network but not to the cloud. I then began to suspect that it is somehow incompatible with Netgear, since my wifi router is also Netgear (Nighthawk R7000). I did have another router with wifi (Tilgin) so I configured it and boom there was cloud connectivity on my first attempt. This seems to support my theory. Maybe it is a DHCP or DNS problem?

switch from 5ghz to 2.4 ghz was the ONLY way i could get it to connect. range is less but it does work now and again. this camera needs alot of tweaking i expect to see a lot of firmware upgrades.
