Power magic pro indicator light

Is the indicator light on the Power Magic Pro suppose to stay on constantly no matter if the switch is  in the on or off position?

    Hello Harold

If the ignition of car is turned on, the indicator light on power magic pro will stay on irrespective of the position of on/off button.

If the ignition of car is turned off, the indicator light on power magic pro will stay on in the button is on and the voltage is above the cutoff voltage and the light will go off if the switch is turned off.

    Thank you

    Thanks for the reply.
It appears I have a problem with the Power Magic Pro on/off switch. The switch does not turn the unit off when the car ignition is in the off position.
I did note that when I first powered up the PM pro unit, I had to flip the switch a couple few times before it would work. The switch feels rather loose, for a lack of a better word.

    Thanks,

    Hello Harold

Can you please check if the wires are properly connected to the relevant fuses? The red wire should be connected to the ACC fuse. yellow to direct battery fuse and black to ground. In our point of view the red wire might not be connected to the proper fuse that is why the PMP is not turning off when the engine is off. Please note that the PMP won't turn off instantly after you turn the button to the off position.

We recommend you to recheck the red wire if it's connected to the right fuse. If it is, please send us the serial number on PMP for further investigation.

    Thank you

I have the same problem. Camera works brilliantly, but it doesn't need to be in Parking mode when I'm at home.

And yes, my switch is loose too.

I'll recheck the fusetaps as suggested though.

I have the same issue with the switch.

Was there an answer or fix to this?

Unit is now 2 years old, I guess out of warranty.

No power to dashcam. Play with switch and turn on and off on power magic unit 5 or 6 times and indicator light comes on and powers Dashcam on.

    Frustrating.

I also have the same problem. Very frustrating. I even went to the extreme of holding the wires to the battery terminals..... nothing. I too have a loose switch. contacted support last night..... waiting for a response.
