Blackvue Viewer not displaying.

Hey there!

I am having an issue with the Blackvue PC Viewer on my Windows 10 machine.  It will only run as a background process and will not display.  It appears that one of the Windows Services is being stopped that Blackvue Viewer requires in order to be displayed.  I was able to verify this by rebooting my computer and then IMMEDIATELY launching the Blackvue program,  If I close it and then retry to start the program, it again starts as a background process.  I tried to set my computer to do a normal startup instead of a selective startup via MSCONFIG, but it keeps reverting back to selective.  I have exhausted all resources with Microsoft to resolve that, so I am of the idea that a Windows Service that Blackvie Viewer requires is current setup as a Manual (or Manual Triggered) service.  If you could provide me with the list of Windows Services that Blackvue Viewer requires, I can then change Startup Type of those services to ensure that they load everytime I start my computer.

    Hello James

     Can you please check what version of PC viewer are you using? If you are using an older version please install the latest version from the link below and see if it fixes the issue. Also please install the legacy viewer and see if the problem persists in that.

    Thank you for your response!

     

    I am having the above listed issue with the latest version of Blackvue Viewer (1.14 for Windows).  Also had this issue with previous version (1.13).  I have installed the legacy viewer and that one does run and display properly.  I have the DR650S 1ch and do utilize the cloud services, so I want to use the newer version.  I am currently running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (16299.125).

    Please let me know if you need any further info.

    Hello James

    As far as i understood from your post, while watching the videos in the viewer, you can hear the sound but the display doesn't show. If this is the case, please do the following.

    1. Run the viewer as Administrator.

    2. Right click on the viewer icon and go to file location

    3. You will see three trace files there trace, trace_cld, trace_sd

    4. Please send us those files at cs@pittasoft.com , Do mention Noman as the addressee and we will get back to you with a solution.
