For people who use these with shared or fleet vehicles, anyone can view and delete videos.  Also I don't necessarily want a thief or law enforcement to be able to see my videos.  Every other personal digital device these days requires or pushes the user for strong passwords/encryption (Bitlocker / FileVault) but all the videos are just sitting for anyone to take out the SD card. Cloud is relatively secure but the SD card is not.
