I'm used to the PowerMagicPro which uses two DC-IN circuits. It can sometimes be really difficult to find a constant 12V DC source in a car - interior lights typically power down after a few minutes. Hazard lights or a rear-cargo socket are usually OK.

Having said that, IIRC you can adjust the time it remains in Parking Mode in the app when connected to the camera; else you can write the configuration directly to the SD card when it's in a PC.

Ya, the camera also has the to inputs, constant and ...regular? accessory, and the constant is in the lights fuse. The lights stay on but the camera does not.

I will try going back over the settings, perhaps I missed something. I did see it had a voltage based timer already set to 12v.

Are you using an Add-A-Circuit into the fuse box? A common mistake is to inadvertently leave the fuse OUT of the camera circuit. There should now be 2 fuses; one for the camera and one for the cabin lights as in your case.

No, stock with the camera comes a power cable with bare wire ends (acc+/batt+/grnd) and I wrapped the wire around fuses. Redid a couple of times to make sure I had contact.

    Yeah - not hugely safe.

Use these - although I have no idea what they are sold as in the US. https://www.swe-check.com.au/series/add-a-circuit-inline-fuse-holders
