DR650s-1CH - Problem with SD Card
A bit over a week ago I got a voice alert from my dash cam saying 'check SD card' over and again. Not realising what was going on, I formatted it in the cam and the alert stopped. It happened again today so I took the cam out. I put the SD card in my Mac and it seems that it last recorded on the 01/02/18 (about the time I first got the alert). I then tried to format the SD card from my Mac. When I first selected 'Erase' from the Blackue Viewer, I got this:
I tried to format it but then got this error message:
I shutdown the Blackvue Viewer and tried formatting the SD card again but this time got this error:
I assume my SD card is shot? If so, is this common? I only got the unit 6 months ago.

My SD is brand new and will not read in a MAC but reads on a PC??? Anyone got a fix for this on a MAC?

Hello Laurie
Can you please check if it cannot be read with your specific Mac or it's an issue with every MAc computer. In PC, please try to format the SD card through blackvue PC viewer and see if you are able to do it.
Please try to insert the SD card in the MAcbook after formatting in the PC viewer and check if it fixes anything.
Thank you

Hi Norman,
The SD Card cannot be read in 3 MACs that I have tried in all of their SD Ports. This problem is not just specific to my MAC. Please send me a new SD card that will work on a MAC. This problem is BlackVue poor quality control of the SD Card production and from the comments above is not going to be resolved by me having to reformat the SD on a PC. I purchased my DR750S-1CH through Dash Cams Australia. Speak with them please and ship me a working MAC compatible SD.

Hello Norman,
This whole issue is becoming a joke!
I have tried a number of times to contact Blackvue Australia without so much as a reply. The SD card has now stopped working altogether with the automated message from the camera being "SD card error".
My camera is now useless to me. What kind of crap are you people selling? I want my money back.

Has anyone got this resolved? I am experiencing the same issue recently where my DR650S-2CH has corrupted my 2 SD cards in a week.
I have 2 Kingston 64GB SD cards that I have been using for nearly a year without any issue and I alternated between the 2 SD cards.
Since I upgraded my dashcam to v1.012 last week, I kept getting the “Check SD Card” message. Similar to the OP, I tried reformatting the SD card via the dashcam without any luck. So, I took it out and tried reformatting the SD card via my PC (BlackVue Viewer v2.07) but also failed. Now, the 2 SD cards appear corrupted.
I am hesitate to try a 3rd card. As it appears others have experienced similar problem, just wondering if anyone has a solution to this. Many thanks!

I contacted the local reseller in Australia and they replaced the SD Card with an Auto BlackBox card which seems to work.
