I have the latest firmware 1.011

I find I can connect Blackvue via WiFi but only if I disable mobile data on my phone first.

I think the latest Samsung phones automatically switch to 4G if they perceive the internet is not available on WiFi.

Switching off aggressive WiFi/4G switching on the phone settings doesn't help, you have to turn off mobile data altogether.

Also disable WiFi strength monitor in Blackvue.

Perhaps (apart from security issues) Blackvue would work better if it could connect by WiFi direct?

    Hello David

In the samsung's wifi settings, please switch off the smart network switch after which the camera won't automatically turn to 4G in case of no internet from the wifi.

    Thank you

My android phone (Pixel 2) has the same issue...I have to disable mobile data service for the BlackVue App to connect to the camera. I don't know why they are having such a hard time resolving this issue but it's a pain in the ass to have to disable mobile data every time I want to download video from the camera.

Great and now they are not supporting the 650 with firmware updates anymore.

Worst buy ever, can't download from it no matter if im using 4g or wifi have to unplug the SD card each time I need a clip.

I won't ever recommend BlackVue to anyone or buy a newer version of their products.
