We were promised (by Blackvue) a future Firmware Update for all models that would restrict motion detection to a close proximity field of view.
OK, Blackvue, so when can we expect it?
I notice that the new model DR900 is advertising Motion Detection as a key feature of the product.
Does this mean that Blackvue can now offer us an update that would make Motion Detection actual work properly on DR650 and DR750 models (without continuously recording)?
Reading through the DR750 section they are trying to fix this for these newer models but seem to have abandoned any fix for the DR650. They promised to do this by April/May for the DR750 but have now pushed it out to August. Don't hold your breath.
It is an absolute disgrace they won't fix this advertised feature for the DR650.
I will never purchase another Blackvue product and will advise members of all the car forums I belong to never to buy one was well.
Apparently they are no longer supporting the 650 with firmware enhancements as it's been obsoleted by newer models. These guys are a disgrace.
