Windows viewer 1.20 crashes every time.

I have v1.20 installed on a Windows 10 PC.  The app opens but crashes when you select a video file to play.

It does not work at all. 

Reading through the forum here, it appears that this has been a problem before with v1.19 and 1.18 explicitly mentioned.

 

Disappointed that you can't view the video recorded from the Blackvue.

    Thank you for choosing blackvue and our apologies for the inconvenience.

    The viewer crashes in some Window 10 versions due to an incompatibility with some of the computers. 

    Our research team has developed a new beta version which might be a fix to crash issue. First of all please delete already installed viewer from your computer and download and install the new version from the following link and see if it solves the crashing issue.

    I rescently bought the DR750S-2CH, and use viewer 1.20. I have the same problem in Win 7. It was the same with ver 1.19 too. Please fix this problem soon........it is so annoying when programs crash all the time.

    I have the same issue with 1.18 and 1.20, and your newest version you posted to this thread.

    just did a normal uninstall, not sure if more tricks are needed.

    Running Windows 10 Pro version 1803 Os build 17134.112 

    Another computer running Win 10 Pro version 1709 build 16299.492 Is working.

    (Documents--> Blackvue)

    You may send setup ini, trace cld and trace sd for us to further analyze it.

    I'm suffering from the same problems.

     I've tried the version Noman linked and have a completely new 750S 2-channel. 

    Also worth mentioning playback doesn't work on MPC-BE, which usually plays almost anything. 

    I am able to play video files if I go into the advanced settings for the G-Sensor, where you get a sensor read-out. The videos place perfectly fine (albeit in a very small view).

    I have tried version 1.19, 1.20, your beta 1.20 from google drive as well as your latest 1.21 that is now available for download.  The first time I tried to watch a video on 1.19 I got about 15 seconds before it crashed and would close.  1.20 and 1.21 crash immediately.  I looked in other online forums and it was suggested that I downgrade to version 1.15 so I searched and found a copy of the exe.  The app now plays the videos with no problems.

    Noman,

    Got same error on both Chrome and Edge. Cleared ALL browsing data, restarted computer, restarted network, and got same error on Chrome, but Edge works! I suspect one of my Chrome extensions is causing problem, but no need to troubleshoot any further.

    Thanks for your help. Will see how viewer runs now.

    BlackVueSetup v1.22 2018.07.10 Beta.exe works for me.  Looks pretty stable.  I have high hopes that this will be the fix!  ;-)

     

    I got the Google Error 400 error too if I used Firefox browser; opening in Microsoft Edge enabled me to get the file.

    The latest version 1.22.beta is working, exactly the same as the 1.15

    For some reason the 4k video is running like the "slow mo" button is on, and when I switch to the rear everything runs normally.

    Its almost like it can't handle showing the video.

    And the pc is not slow, 4k runs smoothly in MPC

    Thank God the beta version works. I've been stuck on version 1.13 and been unable to use 1.14-1.21 because the viewer crashes after starting playback after 2-3 seconds. I'm on Win 10 64 bit.

    I just purchased a 900S and I have brand new clean install of windows 10.  The normal latest version crashes the moment I attempt to play back video.  The 1.22beta works yes.. but the 4K video playback is out of sync with the audio and appears to be in slow motion as others have said.   Do I need to return my product for another brand?

    I've been having this same problem with the same error messages in the log files.  I just installed 1.22 official release on windows 10 and the problem still occurs.

    1. Your Computer and Operating System specs.

    2. A short video clip of the whole situation (Please upload the video on an online drive and provide the link)

    3. PC viewer version

    4. Log files, or screenshot of error in the log files.

    Have the same problems as mentioned above. 1.22 beta version is quite stable, the latest 1.22 version on the website still crashes.

    But I do also have the problem that the 4K video footage is stuckering as playing in slow motion. I upgraded my graphic card to a GTX1060 which did not solve the problem - just the same playback issue. 
    Now I upgraded the software of my DR900S-2CH cam to the lastest version 1.004_2018.08.13 hoping that the problem will be solved, but it is still the same.
    Please, Blackvue, don't loose your high quality standards which I had gotten used to for years!
