Freezing/Hang/Crashing 750s-2ch

Hi Folks.

Anyone else experiencing freezing with the 750s-2ch on firmware 1.007?

My unit is crashing (the leds lights either stay solid or turn off all together) and requires a full power down and power back up to get it running again. There is no audible alerts for power down or anything like that; the system just hangs. Seems to happen every other day.

Futher, around the time of the crashing, I get a corrupted video file.  The 'file name' is correct (eg it has the correct date and time), but the computer 'modified' time stamp does not match (it's getting time stamped a few hours in the future) and the file is unplayable.

Doesn't seem temperature related since it happened last time with the temps <85F.

I've tried three different SD cards (2x Blackvue branded ones and a Transcend High Endurance) all formatted in the camera.

I've since pulled the cards out and formatted on a computer using a third party app and again reformatted to FAT32 via blackvue app on the computer and manually reloaded the firmware (all on a PC).  But still have the same issue.

Currently recording in extreme mode. Daily restart is on.

    This recently started happening to me. Its only crashed on me about 4 times so far. Each time I notice the red light stops flashing and gps light is off. When I unplug it I get no power down notification. On one occasion I did get the power down notification. I know it crashed that time because I tried to log into it by wifi. I could log in but there are no video files, like nothing was recorded. I also did this the other time it crashed. After plugging it back in it ran like normal and all the saved video files were there. Its been random when it crashed. Im also running the same firmware, 1.007 and same dash camera, 750s-2ch.

    I'm having the same issues with crashing also before and after the latest firmware upgrade.
    In addition I'm getting numerous connecting/disconnecting issues, so much so it notified me of 348 occasions overnight!!!
    I have posted my issues on the cloud section incase anyone wishes to compare their issues.

    On Wednesday I updated the firmware to 1.009. It no longer freezes/crashes. It now randomly reboots.  On short trips(15 to 20 minute) it may reboot once or twice. On a long trip(2hr) it rebooted several times at the end of my trip. It rebooted 2 to 6 min after it last booted and kept doing it for about 30 min. It stopped rebooting at the last 15 min of my trip. On that trip I noticed the camera was real hot. I don't remember it getting this hot but it could be normal. Since the firmware update, I have formatted the card and changed the video quality from sport, to super then back to sport. It made no changes to the rebooting problem. Im now testing with cloud services off.

    Im now wondering if this camera is about to die too. This replaced my 650. The internal battery died after 1 year and then the camera started corrupting random videos so I updated this this one.

    Well.  I've downgraded to 1.005 and have not had an issue.

    I suggest emailing CS and asking for that firmware.

    Still having connection issues ... 248 connection/disconnection notifications last night before and after the 3am reboot!!!
    Glory uprising, how did you manage to downgrade your software? I'm no techy I'm afraid but I'm assuming you just upload it as you do for a firmware upgrade?!!!
    Can't believe all these issues for a camera at this price point. Becoming quite disheartening to be honest.

    Contact support and ask them for it.

     

    Format the SD card. Unzip the firmware.  Drag and drop folder into the SD card. Insert SD card into camera. Camera will load firmware.

     

    There is a readme in the zip file that support will send that outlines this.  Pretty easy process.

    1.005 crashed on me after about 4 weeks.

     

    Requested a replacement camera and loaded it with  1.010. 

     

    *cross fingers*

    Did you get your replacement? . I have been on 1.010 for 2 weeks. Still randomly reboots but doesn't do it as frequently.
