Connected/Disconnected

DR750S

I keep getting notifications approximately every hour that the cloud connection has disconnected then two minutes later that it has connected.

Driving me nuts,it’s only six feet from the router.

any ideas? I’ve attached a copy

check the frequency of reboots, perhaps you have set it to reboot every hour? i would also knock it down to 2.4 ghz wireless signal. Mine would not hold a steady connection at 5ghz under any circumstance and i have a standard BT router.

    Reboots are set for 3:00am.

Its connected to a 2.4 ghz router.

I’ve tried resetting it and will see how that goes

Since I updated to the new firmware, I have had the same issue. When I go inside the car I hear the message "Starting normal recording" which means it restarts so often. It never goes to parking mode anymore. It keeps connecting/disconnecting from hotspot. This is frustrating. It shouldn't happen for a camera that expensive.

I believe I have exactly the same issue. I have a DR750S-2CH and I just get a "cloud connected" message which is shortly followed by a "cloud disconnected" message. The car is parked on my drive and I get a 2 bar (out of 3) wifi signal on my phone from the router so the signal is not perfect but still should be plenty strong enough. Am thinking of buying a wifi booster but not sure if I'll just be wasting my money if it still just connects then immediately disconnects again?? The dashcam is running the latest firmware v1.010_2018.08.13.

Dashcam reboots are at 3:00am and my BT router (HomeHub 6) supports 2.4ghz & 5ghz wifi.

I got a WiFi extender(same as booster) from Amazon £15.
Works ok now,the 750s only supports 2.4 ghz anyway so extenders are quite cheap.
    No issues anymore.

I also bought a wifi extender. £15 from Argos. It does seem to have solved the problem.

Further to this - it hasn't solved the problem although did seem to improve things a bit at first. The dashcam still disconnects after a while which is very annoying!

This is a major issue surely and I can't understand why it is taking so long to get it fixed.

I have the same issue. However I have a VERY robust wireless solution at home.

    Config:

    Sonicwall TZ300 firewall/wireless controller

2x Sonicwall ACi AP's set to mixed mode (5ghz and 2.4ghz share the same bssid). 1 AP is in the front of the house set to Quarter Strength to not overlap or compete with the AP in the back of the house. That being said the AP in the back of the house is at 100%. This AP is inside a building but 30feet from the parking spot where the 750sCH2 is.

1x SonicPoint ACi set to "scanner" in which its sole purpose is to monitor for RF threats and evaluate RF health.

I have 2 Nest Cam's in very close proximity to the 750s2ch when parked. 1 camera is using 2.4ghz and the other is 5ghz. Both have 0 issues with connections and have a -30db signal. The 750s however is -70db to -80 at times (poor).

I have moved the 2.4ghz to a 20mhz width at set to ch2 which has no overlap with other used channels (next used channel is 6). Simply put there is NO (0) interference in my environment in the 2.4ghz space.

I can see Authentication, Deauthentication, Connection and reconnection metrics on the AP that the 750 connects to. I have 0 Deauth's (so im not getting a deauth attack). but I do see many Re connections.

I have seen many , many devices... Printers, web cams ect... that do NOT play nice when mixmode OR when multi AP's are used with the same BSSID.

I feel that my wireless health is acceptable but the camera has issues with Mixedmode or multi AP environments. The bumber here is that Pittasoft aka blackvue has 0 info on best practices or recommended settings for wifi.

My next troubleshooting step is to remove mixed mode and make 2 ssid's one for 2.4 and one for 5ghz.. kinda lame this was not an issue 3 firmware version ago.

Question for you all.. Are any of you running mixedmode also or do you have your Bssid's seperated?? EX.. MYwifi2.4 and Mywifi5ghz

Just installed a new DR900S-2CH together with Huawei CarFi E8377 hotspot and getting constant Connected/Disconnected messages.

The issue happens with the firmware upgraded to version 1.008

    https://www.amazon.de/HUAWEI-CarFi-Mobile-E8377s-153-schwarzes/dp/B00PICUNRA

That's a pretty severe issue, since with Connected/disconnected messages every 4-5 minutes and no option to filter such messages out, there's no point in having online real-time push notifications.

Apparently, this is a known server-side issue. Unfortunately, it remains unfixed for more than 2 months apparently.

@sergey, Please sight you're sources for "Apparently, this is a known server-side issue. Unfortunately, it remains unfixed for more than 2 months apparently." Where did you find this?

    Hello @Nick,
There's apparently an official announcement in the Getting Started News & Updates page of this portal:

    https://helpcenter.blackvue.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017838192--ISSUE-Cloud-getting-connected-disconnected-continuously-due-to-a-minor-server-problem

found it by searching for "connected disconnected".

It happens to me too.   The cloud app is basically unusable.   It constantly disconnects and reconnects, and when trying to view a video it disconnects.   I have a wifi repeater at the window right in front of my car.   Signal is very strong so it can't be a connectivity issue.    I think it's trying to stay with wifi AP on as well as being part of my home AP at the same time and is confused.
