    Hello Tim

    Thank you for choosing blackue.

You might want to remove a bit of tinted part in front of the camera lens or increase the camera's brightness to see if this fixes the issue. Unfortunately there is no other fix for a clear view through tinted windows.

    Regards

When I installed my cameras (and my wife's) I thought - someone's going to leave that lens protector film on for sure.

I do get some internal reflections from the rear glass on my car, but it is light and position defendant.

    Noman,

It is nothing physical in front of the camera. It's your Android app overlaying a semi-transparent layer of blue on the live video feed.

It's NOT in the actual video. Meaning, if I take a screenshot of the app, there is no blue tint in the screenshot.

Thus, it is ONLY in your app. Please fix it.

I can further prove that is only in your app because when you click the button to rotate the video horizontal/vertical, the blue tint disappears for 1 second before the app rotates, then the tint returns.

    FYI:

    Phone: OnePlus 6
    Android Version: 8.1.0
    BlackVue App Version: 2.77

    Dear Austin

We guarantee that there is no functionality in the app to tint the picture.. Have you tried watching the videos through another Android smart phone? If not please check and let us know the outcome. If possible send us a capture video/picture.  I will also consult our app developers to see if it's a bug in the app.

    Thank you for your feedback

I too am experiencing the same blueish tint when viewing the live view as Austin described (see image #1 below). When rotating the screen, the blueish tint disappears for a second then reappears. Using the live view on my desktop Blackvue view, there is no blueish tint, just appears only on the app (Android). Did a screen shot and there is no blue tint (see image #2 below) to the live video:

You can fix this issue in android. Goto developers options in settings and turn on 4x MSAA.

    Settings->Developers Options->4x MSAA

You enable developers options by clicking build number 5 times under about phone or just search for 4x MSAA

Thank you Matthew - confirmed above steps does address the blue-ish tint issue with the Android app.

Matthew, how did you know how to solve the issue? Just curious. Yes, thanks for posting a solution. Sorry if I blamed Blackvue if it was actually a fault more on Android's side. I've never seen this issue before in other apps.
