Using iPhone 7+ iOS 12, updated the Blackvue app to 2.78 then 2.79, my phone can connect to my DR900S 2ch via wifi, but when launch Blackvue Wifi from the app, it said it’s not connected, anyone got the same issue?

Andy Rivett I have the same issue and cannot connect to to app, says not connected however wifi is connected successfully, tried on several Apple phones with ios 12 and camera setups

Dan Yep same issue here, yet another poor update from Blackvue.
Does anyone actually test this rubbish before you release it.

Dan How exactly am i supposed to update the firmware on the camera now i cant connect through Blackvue Wifi (without overwriting all my settings on the camera?)

Margaret Case Yes! Same issue with recent iPhone and IOS 12. My phone shows that the BlackVue wifi is connected, but the app says it isn't. Kind of a problem since I have to be able to open the wifi part of the app for several reasons including connecting to the Cloud service. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. :(

Margaret Case I wonder if they check these threads. It seems that they're going to have to fix this on their end. Just got the camera a couple of weeks before the release of IOS 12. Not happy.

crag robinson hopefully they will, had ours about 6 weeks now, when it works it's great, when it gets messed up with these release patches it's a right pain.

This is a bug in the app which will be fixed soon. We will release a new version v2.80 tomorrow in which this issue will be solved.

RG I just upgraded the BlackVue app to v.2.8 @ 3:24pm Pacific.
It still kicks me out to the Settings for BlackVue instead of the WiFi connection.
However, once I manually connect to the BlackVue unit's WiFi, I am able to access the its files and live viewing. Cool!

RG When you are not connected to the camera's WiFi and you power up the app, it will say, "Not connected to BlackVue Wi-Fi. Please connect to BlackVue Wi-Fi and try again." When you click yes, it takes you to the iOS settings for the app instead of the WiFi selector. So you need to get out of it and go to the WiFi selector.
So you must connect to the camera's WiFi first so you don't go through that and go straight into viewing the BlackVue WiFi function.

crag robinson still not working on my blackvue app, when you put password in and tap join, it freezes on the settings page,apps been updated too. can't get back into settings unless i switch iphone off then back on.

John A Briscoe Jr I have BlackVue 900DR and BlackVue's app v2.83 and I'm still having problems with WiFi. Also, I have 8plus.

Robert Talarek I have the 900s and version 3.26 app and I have the same problem as well .I can connect to the dash cam in my wifi settings but nothing is detected in there app. Very disappointed in this product. I will be going to a professional this week and if having the same problem will be returning this and going to a different brand. oh I have an android Sony phone awesome phone not going to buy a new phone because there app does not work....
