I have tried every conceivable setting with this unit and cannot get clear or even readable plate information from moving or stopped vehicles. Firmware is 1.006 which does not appear to have had any changes in two years. About ready to ditch this unit and find something else. Can you help?

Tara Zimmerman I just got the unit and am seeing the same. It doesn't look like the community here is strong in replies...Perhaps these devices do not have the popularity as others. Sorry I cannot help - but was looking to find a solution as well

Vyacheslav Romanenko I have the same issue at dr590x-ch2. I was trying to reduce brightness, disable "Night vision", but license plates are still unreadable.

Imran Khan Same issue here. The glare of oncoming traffic lights is so strong that it blurs everything. Number plates are hardly readable which defeats the purpose of having the dashcam.
