Parking mode delay after turning off engine (hardwire)

Hello.

Sorry if this post exists. I haven't found the info anywhere.

I want to buy a 900X 2ch and hardwire it. But I read that the parking mode activates when turning off the engine. Imagine a situation: you have an accident, you turn off the angine to go out of the car, and you want to keep the dashcam recording after it. What options do I have? "Hit" the cam so the G-sensor activates the recording? And each how many minutes must I do this to keep the recording ON? Thank you.

I bought it... well... it is VERY ANNOYING to hear "impact event while parked"... and that event is that I CLOSE THE DOOR WHEN EXITING THE CAR!! ALSO WHEN I ENTER THE CAR AND CLOSE THE DOOR!! How can be so bad thought this mode? When Delay option will be implemented in next firmware?

    David,
Did you ever get a solution to this? Both of my blackvues do this (exiting/entering car after turning off triggers parking mode event) and it completely defeats the purpose of the parking mode event notification (since it announces it EVERYTIME).

I have the latest firmware and with my 900X 2ch Plus it ALWAYS announces an impact (from door door closings).  I don't see anywhere to enable the 5 minute accelerometer delay that would be available if it was not hardwired.  As David pointed out, this completely defeats the purpose of the impact announcements.

Saw it was implemented in the firmware 1.007 for 900 and 750 but unfortunately I have the 590 with the latest firmware 1.005 which doesn't have this feature (yet?) after changing to 3-wire backup battery. Amazed how they missed this annoying shortcoming and took too so long to update. Technically this feature is broken!

I was wondering if it's possible to have a temporary workaround? Like swapping the wires ACC to BATT then leave the ACC disconnected. Hoping it will revert back to automatic parking mode after 5 mins (enough time to exit the vehicle) then back to normal mode when driving off?
