900X has NOT 60fps. In 2021 still license plates not readable at some speed

After using a GoPro for many time, I bought a DR900X because in some sites (Amazon, Blackboxmycar) said it had 60FPS in front if downscaled to FulHD.

NO! It has NOT!

Shall I return the cam for this reason? Unmount all the cables? Why in 2021, and with this camera prices, still a license plate of a moving car is blurred? From years ago police helicopters can record license plates from even 1 kilometer away. Why driver's can't have a cam that gives secure evidence videos?

Just a guess, try to disable HDR and then look for 1080p/60fps.

funfact: the chipset supports 1440p/60fps+1080p/30fps :D

    No changes :(

Maybe in next firmware. Do you know if Blackvue members read this message board and take care of what we say? Or we are just alone in this community?

While browsing, I saw some replies from Blackvue few years old, if i recall correctly. Nothing past two years though so i wouldn't hoped for any reply any time soon...

UnsatisfiedUser..... I wish I'd thought of that name first.

Many moons ago, I made the mistake of getting a 650 2ch. Very happy with the machine, but it became outdated and unsupported quickly.

Just updated to the 900x and visiting this community for the first time. Now starting to understand that they've stopped supporting ALL customers.

Oh yeah.....Can anyone tell me if the 900x supports UHS-II cards? They have an extra row of contacts and are quick.

Ziege, why do you say ALL customers?

Forums and communities like this are an important part of after sales service but they fall into two distinct categories.

    1. They are monitored, moderated, replied to, and passed up to "higher beings" by dedicated staff or reps.

    2. They are offered to customers as a token gesture of good will and then promptly ignored in the hope that a few customers will get the warm and fuzzy feeling of helping out their fellow humans (and MUCH appreciation and beer to them all, from me).

Sadly, as brushed on by UnsatisfiedUser, we are in category 2; left to wander the wastelands like zombies in search of brains.

MOST of the tech industry makes more money from new customers than from repeat customers, especially in a brand saturated market. Diverting resources from support to sales is too often a wise business choice. Search for some "big name tech" apps and tell me I'm wrong.

The big give-away is always app rating and update frequency. Getting more 1 star reviews than ALL OTHERS COMBINED is a clear indication of their commitment to customer care. They already have your money, so just RTFM.

Let's just hope that BlackVue isn't the trendsetting teen on the road to becoming the crazy old uncle.
