DR900S Rear Camera Not Working
Sept 2024--All was working well with my DR900S 2-Ch until I removed the SD card and updated the firmware from 0.010 to 1.015. Then the rear camera immediately stopped recording. Tried a spare cable, reverted back to the former firmware, changed to a new identical SD card (formatted to FAT 32 with the current viewer) on my PC), but no luck. Any help on this?

Solution--------I ordered a Blackvue rear camera cable from Amazon and it solved the problem---rear camera is now recording again.

@retro bowl college It sounds frustrating—have you tried resetting the camera or checking the connections again after the firmware update?

Hi Mark,
It sounds like the firmware update might have caused an issue with the rear camera. Here are a few things to try:
-
Check the Camera Connection: Ensure the rear camera cable is properly connected and there are no loose connections. Even if you've tried a spare cable, double-check for any visible issues.
-
Reformat the SD Card: Even though you've formatted the card, try reformatting it again in the camera itself (via the BlackVue app or menu) to ensure compatibility.
-
Check for Firmware Corruption: The firmware update might not have installed correctly. You could try reinstalling the latest firmware again using the BlackVue firmware update process (download it directly from the official site and follow the instructions).
-
Reset Settings: After updating the firmware, sometimes it helps to reset the camera settings to default, as the update might cause conflicts with old settings.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it may be worth reaching out to BlackVue support for further assistance.
Let me know how it goes!
