While both models likely have similar sensors, the DR970X Plus might have a slightly smaller sensor or a narrower aperture, leading to less light gathering and potentially grainier images in low-light conditions.

The DR970X Plus might use different video processing algorithms or settings, which could affect the fnaf image quality.

I just received and installed this camera (DR970X plus) and found it to have the same grainy issue. It was surprising because I replaced a 10 year old DOD dashcam and thats a HD cam and looks clear like your DR900X.

Do you happen to know what resolution and algo your DR900X is using? your DR970X plus?

my DR970X is set to H265 Highest and its grainy !

I set both the DR900X Plus and DR970X Plus to the highest config,

    DR900X Plus

    • Codec : H264
    • Resolution : 4k
    • Quality : Highest

    DR970X Plus

    • Codec : Tried both H264 and H265
    • Resolution : 4k
    • Quality : Highest

Hope the BlackVue team can fix this issue ASAP and release a new version of firmware. This video quality is really frustrating.
